Who is Deonna Monique

Politics

For much of my life, I identified as a liberal Christian, you know, the faithful Christian in private but living life without the grounding of biblical truth. I grew up with a conservative father and a liberal mother, often caught between two perspectives. It wasn’t until the Lord spoke to me, saying, “Trump will be a trumpet,” that I humbled myself and began to truly listen.

I started watching Trump with an open mind and soon realized that conservatives weren’t the group of racists I had been taught to believe they were. Instead, I uncovered lie after lie, about what to eat, how to date, how to do business, and even how to think, all shaped by liberal ideologies. These revelations showed me how deeply politics affects every aspect of life.

As I sought Christ more, my eyes were opened to the power of God’s Word and the freedom that comes with a conservative, faith-driven worldview. Now, I’m on a mission to share the truth with my community—whether they want to hear it or not. I believe in boldly standing for biblical values, breaking free from deception, and helping others find purpose and freedom through faith and truth.

Bloodline Ancestry

I’m Deonna Monique, a passionate entrepreneur and content creator, inspired by my great-uncle, Bishop Charles Harrison Mason, the founder of the Church of God in Christ (COGIC), one of the largest Pentecostal denominations in the world. His unwavering faith and commitment to holiness fuel my mission to walk boldly in my calling, guided by the Holy Spirit. And with the creative legacy of my great-aunt, Angela Bassett, and being a single mom to my intelligent daughter, I strive to blend faith, boldness, and purpose into everything I do.

The Weird Black Girl

Growing up as a Black girl who didn’t fit the mold wasn’t easy. I was teased by other Black girls for my natural kinky curls, constantly told I needed a perm to fit in. All I ever wanted was to belong, but I held strong to my culture and refused to conform. Ironically, years later, I built one of the largest kinky curly hair extension brands in the USA, and those same girls who mocked me embraced their natural beauty, wearing the very extensions I created.

As a child, I was also ostracized for being the “weird Black Christian girl.” I often found myself connecting with other cultures just to find friendship. Through those experiences, God revealed to me how deeply blind my own community had become to the lies we’d been fed. It was in learning about other cultures and hearing God’s voice that I realized how much the Black community needed to awaken to the truth.

Now, I’ve made it my mission to help open the eyes of my community to the lies of liberalism and show them the power and truth found in being a Christian with conservative values.

Business History

I graduated early as a junior from a Christian private school, earning a full scholarship to study broadcast journalism. My academic and professional journey deepened my love for storytelling and opened doors for me to impact others through media. Today, I blend this expertise with my passion for faith, politics, and entrepreneurship, creating content that inspires.

Before stepping into ministry and content creation, I built one of the largest natural hair extension brands in the U.S.A., Boho Exotic Studio (BES Hair). Known for its innovation and quality, my brand was featured in Vogue, Essence, movies like Creed, and on runways in Paris. While the pandemic forced me to close that chapter, the resilience and lessons I gained shaped me into the entrepreneur I am today.

My journey also includes years in corporate America, where I managed call centers and learned the art of understanding people. This experience, paired with my God-given gift of discernment, allows me to deeply connect with others and meet their needs effectively.

Since childhood, writing has been my escape. Today, I channel that passion into creating biblical self-help books that inspire and empower. Growing up in a musical family, I’ve also carried a lifelong love for music, which continues to influence how I approach creativity and connection in all that I do.
